Announcing New Visitor Services Partners & Visitors Guides Arrival
As the 2018 tourist season begins, CCVC is excited to have two new Visitor Services partners to assist in distributing visitor information throughout Carbon County. CCVC has expanded their current Visitor Services partners of the Valley Artisans (Baggs, WY) and the Rawlins Chamber of Commerce to include the Saratoga Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Medicine Bow Museum.
“Tourism is alive and well in Carbon County, and it is important we welcome travelers are welcomed throughout our large county. Previous to 2017, CCVC partnered with the Valley Artisans in Baggs with their Visitor Center and continued to operate the county visitor center in Riverside. Last year, CCVC partnered with the Rawlins Chamber of Commerce to provide visitor services seven days a week and it worked out wonderfully. This year we are excited to bring on the Saratoga Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Medicine Bow Museum as Visitor Services Partners that will be available to Carbon County visitors seven days a week. We now have five locations throughout the county for travelers to stop in for information, which is terrific!” said Leslie Jefferson, Executive Director of CCVC.
The Visitors’ Council also created a new Carbon County Visitor Guide. Earlier this year, CCVC partnered with Vision in Progress Marketing, LLC (V.I.P.) to provide a new visitor guide design. CCVC’s goal was to produce a smaller, more mail friendly and economical publication. “With suggestions and format ideas given, Cindy Loose, owner of V.I.P. designed a beautiful guide.” said Leslie Jefferson. The new visitor guide not only details area lodging, dining and attractions available but provides sample itineraries for each area of Carbon County. It is a terrific resource for visitors and residents. The new visitor guides arrived at the new CCVC office last week.

Carbon County Visitor Guides are being distributed and will be available at the Rawlins Office, Riverside Visitor Center, all Visitor Services Partner locations, and Carbon County attractions, museums, hotels and kiosk locations. You can also download a digital version or request that a visitors guide be mailed to you from the Carbon County Visitors Council website.
